Diploma in Digital Animation
(DDA) S35
School of Digital Media & Infocomm Technology (DMIT)

Tell a compelling story, bring your digital artwork to life with the Diploma in Digital Animation!

DDA aims to equip students with essential skills to produce quality and creative content (e.g. concept art, 3D models, animation) for TV, films and games. It imbues students with a strong foundation in art and aesthetics, supplemented by sound technical knowledge that they can build on and apply throughout their careers.

Your own personal space
Every student will have his/ her own personal space which one can call it 'home' in the three years of study. The M.A.D. (Media-Art-Design) Studios is a new and fully-equipped set of production studios that come with a personal touch.

Chill out at the cosy corner; get messy when you are sculpting; engage in creative discussion with industry clients; there is a dedicated space for each of the activities in the studios.

Thorough and specialized programme
The course covers the full spectrum of the animation process from conceptualization to completion, yet allows you to develop your strength in one of three main tracks: assets creation, character animation or compositing and lighting.

Mentorship with industry leaders
A core feature of the course is the opportunity to learn from the Masters of the trade, like Blue Sky Studios (creator of Rio and Ice Age), Remedy Entertainment (makers of the game Alan Wake), Lucasfilm, Infinite Frameworks, etc.

We organise workshops and master classes regularly; we also arrange overseas study trips to Japan, Korea, China, United States, etc. to enhance the skills of our students.

You will also be empowered to take up leadership roles in organizing various enrichment forums, seminars and community projects.
